New Year's Eve at Derailed Saloon!

On Saturday Dec 31st, I will be hosting the New Year's Eve Celebration at Derailed Saloon along with the turntable master DJ Dort Vader! Also on the tables we got DJ Rayza keeping the party jumping like he does. Plus some reggae stylings from The Good Guys and a hip hop performance from Pawz One coming all the way from LA. Who knows, you may even get a special Dune Sea Crew performance! 

The party starts at 8pm and there will be crazy drink specials from all your favorite bartenders! 

You Are Awesum!

The shirts are here! Ok so here is the deal with the design and concept behind the shirt. As you know (If you read my blog) the reason I took the name Jonny Awesum was to pay homage to Johnny Rotten of The Sex Pistols and not to boast myself up. I do however believe we are all made in the image of an Awesum God and all of us, no matter your race, sex, religion or lack there of all share a piece of that God. I have been on a long journey and step by step I have been seeing numbers of my dreams coming true and manifesting themselves in reality. It's my vision to share that with all of God's creation and to help them realize that they to are Awesum and can see their dreams come to pass and make a difference in this world. So if you share that vision and you believe that you too are Awesum or even if you hate me and just like seeing my name crossed out, rock this shirt with a sense of pride and belief.

Why You Robbing Yourself?

To not set a goal because of the fear of failure benefits you none and it even robs you of the personal growth and lessons that would have been down that road. Also when you think about it, you have already failed and your fear kept you right where it wanted you and it has spared you from nothing. If you set it in your mind that you will win, then you will win. Something is always to be won even in every defeat. If you set it in your mind that you will lose, or even allow room for failure you are certain to lose and nothing at all is to be gained.

Got the chance to chill with DJ Dort Vader and Josh from Underground Tattoo tonight as they made a beat together. When me and Dort Vader walked into Underground Tattoo, Josh was playing the the keys and looping them into whatever program he has to produce his beats. Vader hooked up his turntables to  add the procession and add scratches to a basic 8 bar piano loop. By the end of the night with some pressure from my good friend Sam P, I was feeling inspired to spit a rhyme. 

The Real Deal...

I feel I gotta put this up real quick because I am finding that Facebook is not a reliable way to get my point across. People seem to have misunderstood me and some of the things I was posting up, so real quick I want to say that I LOVE this country and I am very proud to be a citizen of the United States of America. I support our troops and have a lot of friends in the military. I do not support terrorism or terrorist in any way what so ever at all. I have studied government and many theories of government from our founding fathers and down the line to some of the newer trains of thought. I am a registered Republican and I am very conservative in all areas in my life.  All I am saying is that we need to be alert and keep our government in check because they are here to serve us and do what we say and vote on. We can't be so quick to believe whatever they want us to believe and they must be held accountable when they lie, just as we would be. Please don't take what I say out of context and if you have any questions feel free to ask me because I love talking about politics and government. If you want to do some reading try reading up on Thomas Jefferson and what he believed. Remember our founding fathers fled from an oppressive government and did not want to repeat the same mistakes.

Planet Asia Freestyle

This past weekend The Dune Sea Crew put on another amazing show at The Dunes Bar with Planet Asia & Copywrite and if you missed it, you truly missed out on a sick show and that's all I'm gonna say about that! Well lucky for us (not so lucky for them cuz they had more touring to do) they got stuck here in Yuma for the weekend and I got to play host for a while and entertain Planet Asia  & Tristate. The first thing I did was call up the homie Sam P,  cuz there was no way we were gonna roll in my beat up truck and as always Sam came thru and we got to roll in his brand new Dodge Challenger. So we swooped em up from the Quality Inn Hotel and headed to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch UofA lose an upsetting game against UCONN and believe it or not they were both going for Arizona along with the rest of us at BWW. After that is was time to dip to my good homie ASE and Gloria's house warming party. Now you might say at first, what the hell you doing taking these dudes to a house warming party (that's probably the exact same thing they were thinking) but you don't know how my homies do it. There was a full bar, lots of bomb mexican food, beer (my favorite) and cake... Oh  and there just happened to be a mic and this is what happened: 

                                           

Ben C The Mastermind - CheeFlow is Back

 If you know me, you know I love getting ear treats in my inbox and this week I got one from those kids in TMP.  This one is of Ben C The Mastermind flossing his skills over an Evidence track and he is for sure flossing.  I been letting folks here in Yuma know for a minute now that these kids are the future and as its looking like the future is now. Right now they are making some noise here on the local scene, but if they keep it up they will be soon seen by many more.  If you seen the last video I put up of this kid you know what he can do over an MF Doom track, well now its time to hear what he can do over an Evidence track.
